Rules

Since this is a fan translation blog that I’m doing as a hobby and passion, I kinda want there to be a few rules for my translations and whatever links I might post here ^^

Rule # 1:

Please don’t re-post any of my translations outside of Tumblr and this WordPress blog!

—> This is one of my most important rules and I ask that you please respect it.
It is discouraging to see my work being taken, yes, but more than that, I want to keep everything here lowkey. There’s a reason why I mostly stick to Tumblr and WordPress instead of on a more “mainstream” site with official accounts like Twitter and Facebook.
The purpose of the blog is to share the translations, so please instead of re-posting, just link my blog to your post.

Rule # 2:

Please don’t remove my credits and claim the translations, especially the subtitles, as your own!

—> Translating takes a lot of time, work, and effort. It’s very discouraging when we see our work being claimed by others. And again, there is still a gray area to fansubbing and fan translating, so I want to keep these lowkey as much as I can.
I appreciate the notes and retweets/reblogs, of course, but I’d like them to be easily manageable just in case they get too much attention.

Rule # 3:

Please don’t re-translate anything into another language IF the original source is accessible.

–> This includes songs, short stories, books, magazine interviews, and anything that has the kanji provided as well.
This is because there’s just so much more restrictions into translating a story to another language based on an English translation.

–> I exercise some creative liberty to convey the translation’s meanings properly. As there is no ‘exact’ translation for anything, translating it to English has the possibility of it losing meaning for some words/phrases that don’t have an exact English equivalent. Translating it into another language based from the English translation may make it lose the original meaning of said words/phrases.

Thank you for understanding, for your interest, liking my work, and your support!
